Title I am going to call my film.

To finalise my film preperation I need to decide on the name of a film. I thought of the film and what is the best to use, and I considered the possibilitys. I think that it should be relevant of the film and some of the aspects, and the main one that comes to thought throughout my plot of the film is the drug overdose. I think I should choose to portray the main character as a character on heroin, because this can then be linked to how the plot of the film links her to being a heroin in the making as she is how they realise that her death turns out to be a murder. 'The Heroin' could be the title as it links to action genres because of it, but it also tells the audiance the way in which the film story starts because of the overdose on heroin. There is also different titles that I can use which link to the film, one being that there is two sisters linked in this film, and one of the sisters is a murderer of another. This is where the idea 'Cold Blood' comes to mind, as it is a metaphor for the emotions that the other sisters feel. This is more of an physcological thriller than a drama, but because the main character is liked it changes the effect.
I have decided to test the two different titles in the font that I would use in order to see what appeals to me the most:

Zanzibar SF - Bold, S

Bell Gothic Std Black - in bold, and underlined.

I included bold in both of them as I have researched that this is a cliche in action films, and the rest of the plot throughout concerns an action film with it. I chose different fonts that interested me the most, as they stand out and are more appealing in bold, and the best one I prefer is the one for Cold Blood, in Zanzibar SF. This is because it has a cold feel to it, and I made sure I chose a font that has no emotion to it as well. I used both the titles that I thought of using in my opening two minutes, and I have decided that I prefer the Heoin as my title, as it is more relative. It is also because when it comes to my opening two minutes I want the audiance to be able to understand the name straight awy, which I don't they can do with the Cold Blood. It also suggests to the reader the ending to the fim anyway, so it reveals too much of the film, which I dont want to do. Therefore I have decided to use the font I prefer with the title I like, and I have created the titles I am going to use throughout my film, I will use the same font for cast and director.
The name of my film is going to be The Heroin.

Beginning, Middle and End

For my opening two minutes, it needs to be made as if it was actually being created as a film. For this, I need a plot that would be made for throughout the film in order for it to make sense, as it would be leading up to something. For this, I need to decide a middle and end. The middle needs to contain something that is a big influence to the charatcer, more commomly the main character, as this would be the something that attracts the audiance in. As for the ending, it needs to conclude how the ending is going to sort out the problems that are faced, this needs to be so the audiance know how the ending will eventually effect the characters. For my film, the plot of the movie would be like this:

Beginning:

The beginning is the part I am going to film, and it resolves around four characters. These will be included so as to bring out a representation for different people, the main character will be the one that is hallucinating whilst the others are physically and mentally fine. The main character is the focus whilst there is two characters unrecognisably noticing any difference to the main character. The last character is the character that is dead in the film, we will know this by mise-en-scene and camerawork with the useof editing as well because there will be an included flashback, this will explain her death. Mise-en-scene will be in make up at the use of a headwound which is how she will die, hitting her head on a sink. This leaves the main character distraught as she is the best friend of the dead character whilst another character is distraught as well because it was her sister. The last character is a character that the audiance won't like, she will be snobbish in her appearance and the way she reacts, giving the audiance an instant dislike to her. We will like the main character and the alive sister, whilst the dead character hallucination becomes someone we hate later in the plot.

Middle

The middle of the plot is where the other alive characters start to notice the main characters indifference to her surroundings, and the hallucination character forces the main character to do things she doesnt want to do. Police would be involved at the onslaught of things that she would have to do, and the reasoning behind these plots would be that it triggers memories that later make the audiance find that the two best friends weren't as close as they thought, as memories are triggered to the main character through these hallucinations. The memories are  of hate and pain of the dead character who mainly invades her dreams, an idea I got from Inception. The audiance will want to be involved as it allows them to see how the death of this character is significant, and that the death wasn't an accident as they so think. This allows the audiance to get involved with the other two characters, as we grow more increasingly confident with the sister and more hatred towards the other friend character. It continues with the police following them closely because of evidence that shows that the death of the dead character may not have been an accident, but a murder. This increases audiance interest at the amount of things that are happening, whilst the main character becomes increasingly more agitated and loses her grip on what is real and what isn't.

Ending

The ending is where the blow of the entire beginning is justified, and we know who killed the dead character. The murder would be made all the way through to look as if it was done by the character that the audiance would hate, when in fact we find all along that it was the sister. This would be because of jelousy over the main characters connection with the dead character, and therefore it would be more emotional for the audiance as they would have been confident of that character. It instantly changes the view of the character that would be hated all the way through the film, and it would fulfil the ideal way of rounding up the story. The main character would be sent to a clinic to stop her hallucinations, as the use of drugs becomes increasingly obvious to everyone with how she becomes haullucinagetic in the first place. This would completely answer all question marks about the plot of the film, as the reason why the murder wouldn't have been recognised easily is because they would find traces of hair and assume it was the dead characters. The dead character is then seen as a lost soul, and not a character to hate, and it becomes to turn at the way we see her as she is seen for the last time when the main character is recovering. They part friends again.

'Inception' Trailer

Inception is a film about technology being able to invade the human mind through their dreams, and this is different compared to the other films I have anlaysed. In this film it is more technological which makes it more interestihng to analyse. The difference about this is the use of editing which makes it stand use of editing which makes it more interesting compared to the other films I have looked at. I like the idea behind this, that everyone knows about the dreams, and it changes the idea from a mentally insane person.
I think being able to change this so it becomes something that isnt cliched with clinically insane is a good idea, and with the use of editing and acting i will refer to this when I want to create my owbn opening two minutes.

"Shutter Island" - Official Trailer [HD]

The plot of this film is about a murderess who has a physcological problems and has escaped from a hospital. The role of the main character is that he is meant to find her because she is supposed to be hiding nearby. This relates to my blog as it again feautures a clinically insane woman, only in this one it follows the path of silence of the lambs where we dont like the character as she becomes murderess. This will help me as the use of lighting and mise-en-scene shows that she is in need of capture as the main character is a cop, an everyday job. The use of this is something that might inspire me myself to do as this will help me to bring across the feeling of every day life that is going to change.
Shutter Island stars leonardo di caprio, and the character that he plays is the cop to go and find her. This is the character that the audiance tend to like as he is trying to do good. For my clip I could have the worker being the insane person, but just like this clip to relate I will make sure that we like this character.

Birdy theatrical trailer

The plot of birdy is about a man who is perfectly healthy and has an extreme liking for birds, he then goes to war and experiances the emotions that would come with it. After witnessing all these deaths he then comes back and starts to believe that he is a bird himself. This is relative to my work with mental illness, which is why I have decided to analyse this in my blog. The film is from the 80's, so it isnt as developed as the other films which are more modern, but the style that I wanted is in this. The film isnt as interactive as silence of the lambs, and because there is no violence this is an example of a T.V drama. To tell the audiance the name of the film the font has a bird shaped into the letter 'Y', this helps the audiance understand the reason why the film is called this as it is a significant part to create the film, his fascination over them.
This film has helped me understand how drama looks to the audiance and how it is seen, therefore it will help me develop when it comes to my own film, which will be in the same style, just more modernised for the teenage audiances.

Nalepa - Monday (The Glitch Mob remix)

This is the song that I liked on the copyright music, and it is good because it sets a pace that I can follow with my opening two minutes when I am filming. This is the type of music that teenagers like, which is why it is good to use as this is the target audiance that I have decided to use. It works well for the pace that I need to use, as it starts off slowly for when the clip starts with my shot of an extreme close up and it then grows bigger. I would have it quiet as background noise, or it would be off completely so diegetic sound can be heard. This is why I have chosen it, because it reinforces the view of the schizophrenic and the emotions that would be felt when my character is interacting with the surroundings. Uploading it on my blog will allow me to easily find the song I want and this is why it is the best to use.
The groups name for this blog is Napela, Glitch mob, and knowing this will mean I am able to tell the viewers the type of style that is used in order to make this. This will help me in creation as it is non copyrighted, which means I can use this in the making of my clip.

Target Audiance

The target audiance for my opening two minute clip is 15+, this is because it doesnt contain any sexual content or violence that would make my opening two minutes a 18+ film. The reason why my film wouldn't be of younger ages is because it isn't easy for younger ages to understand, and as younger ages have short attention spans they wouldnt concentrate on my clip to understand what it is.

The type of audiance would be teenagers, because it would be the type of film that they can  understand more because there is no complicated language that would put them off as it would be more understandable to them. This means when I am creating my opening two minutes I need to keep it simple to keep the audiances attention. This has helped me understand the language that I need to use in my clip so it will be easier to film.

Equipment+Software.

To create my opening two minutes I am going to need the right equipment in order to film it. The type of equipment I am going to use is so I am able to get clear shots of each scene and be able to put them together, and this is done best with a flip video camera I am going to use. I think this is the best camera to use as it already includes a memory stick so it will be easy to download them. The amount of different buttons to use is also easy to use as it is just the three buttons to get all the clips onto my computer.

The equipment I will need next to get clear shots of the surroundings and make it more realistic is the tripod. This is essential if I want to use panning shots in my video, as it will enable me to move it across without distorting the image. This makes it good because it makes it look more realistic to the audiance, and will make them feel as if they are genuinly there in the situation that is arising.

The last thing I need in order to create my film properly with special effects and so it runs smoothly is Adobe Premier Elements. This software is easy to use and allows you to cut each individual clip into the perfect timing you want, and it includes a timeline so I can get the perfect timing in each clip. The video is present on the top left so I can see and hear how each clip looks.

This is the symbol for the software I am going to use.

The Silence of the Lambs (1991) - Official Trailer

Silence Of The Lambs is the official trailer that follows the same genre as House does in the phsychiatric hospital. It is about a man who is a physchotic killer who kills his victims by skinning them alive, which is the same style as House but follows the genre more of horror as a physchotic thriller because of the style of special effects and how they are presented.
The use of analysing this film is good as it shows the way in which mental disability is presented in a way to fear them, contrasting with house which is used to sympathise with him. The way in which they use this to scare audiances is the way in which we see their faces in an extreme close up, which is enhanced by the look of their faces in lighting. This shows how they use the use of sound which is enhanced by mood music to bring across the idea that he is the one who should be hated or should be feared. But however there is the alternative which is counted as drama in which we don't fear the mental capability of the person, and this is counted as a drama instead. This is something I will also analyse in order to see which is the best to use.

This film questionnaire will help me in understanding what type of films the audiances like, and how I can include this when creating my opening two minutes to follow there personal interests. This shows that I have thought of a target audiance and how they are going to be able to relate to my film.

Sherlock Holmes 2

The new film of Sherlock Holmes is being released on December 16th 2011, which follows the first film of sherlock holmes. This is the next release of the action film sequence, and the first film was which inspired me in my thoughts for the opening two minutes. This contains more areas which create an ation film, and the analysis of this will help me as it shows more modern ways of creating an action film.
As the film is not released yet, the analysis i have to use is the trailer of the film. This includes main scenes that would attract the target audiance of 15+ mainly of the male gender.
The use of font is bold to represent the male gender, but it is more old fashioned in its aesthetics as itlooks as if it is written by a quill, which tells the audiance of the time that it is set in. This is effective in reinforcing the use of mise-en-scene.
This trailer contains a lot iof action as it attracts the audiance in to what they would be missing, this allows audiances to come and see the film which gets them into the cinema. Using violence as a tool to get people into the cinemas, this reinforces the males stereotypical view of violence being heroic and therefore attracting them into cinema. The use of humour is used to laugh with and at them, as the use of mise-en-scene is used with the use of costumes. This is good for their style of film but for my style it is more serious, therefore I can't use this. The use of violence with the lighting being reinforced as blue is helpful as it makes the mood more serious, which is what I will include in my opening two minutes.
This has been helpful as i can see how they make violence look more realistic, and I will include this in my opening two minutes.

Questionnaire - Answered by Harry Butchers.

1. Whats Your favourite Action Film?

'My favourite action film is Chicken Little'

 2. Why is this your favourite action film?

''errr...because it was very actiony....errr yeah....wait im trying to think...errr....i dont know it brings out my childish spirit.'

3. What was your favourite scene and why?

''I would say the baseball scene because it was very heart throbbing when he won'

4. What made this scene memorable to you?

'Because it was extremely relatable.'

5. Do you think this scene is key to an action film?

'yes.... because it brings out the man in me.'

This questionnaire helps me as it shows the more masculine side to Harry, as the clip that he is relatable to is the baseball scene. The baseball scene is a sport which males associate as masculine, so it works for the audiance that it is trying to capture.

Questionnaire - Answered by Ryan Hickson

1. Whats Your favourite Action Film?

'Transporter'

2. Why is this your favourite action film?

'uuurmmmm because......theirs.....lots of scenes where he beats people up with his feet'

3. What was your favourite scene and why?

'eerrmmmm .....the scene where his house gets blown up with a rocket launcher.'

4. What made this scene memorable to you?

'errrrmm......there were lots of explosions'

5. Do you think this scene is key to an action film?

'yes'

This is helpful to me because it shows the type of scenes that are interesting to men. These are the typical scenes which grab the male audiance because it is more visual to them, therefore keeping them hooked. In my opening two minutes something needs to happen which is visually intrigiung to watch.

Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood (Animatic)

This is an animatic of the gorillaz song 'Clint Eastwood', which is the same style as the animatic that I have to make. This animatic style is so I can find it easier for when I am creating my own clip, and the way in which they put it in arrangement will help me with my own arrangement in my opening two minutes. The lines that are used are bold and stand out in their approach for what they are meant to look like, and the characters are seen as how they should look. Because of the fact that their creations actually are cartoon characters they focus on the aspects that actually need to move to make them more alive, so the detail doesn't need to be as precise as this is. The characters are moved on a grid base that is in a two point perspective, and the entire clip is in black and white. They move across the screen in a frozen perspective, so they do not distract the attention to where they are to be placed. As they are moved around across the screeen you get to see the order being which character is the most important, which is the one angled at the front, which is what I need to take into account when I am doing my own clip.
The animatic allows you to see the different camera angles that are used in order for the characters to be seen at their best, one being the wide shot of all four characters at a distance. The zooming of the camera is also used to see the faces close up and to see the movements.
The use of editing is slim but it makes it clever when allowing the person creating it to be able to see where each character is placed, which is why it is helpful in making. You can see from the movements that all the characters are made on paper, and the drawing is essential in understanding how they are going to be shown on screen.

This is helpful to me as it helps me know how to create my own opening two minute animatic, which I will make close to the filming so any changes I want to make from here can be made.

'House M.D.' Opening Credits

The first clip that comes up from the opening of House is the logo that represents the hospital, which is the H. This links with the hospital by its logo and the audiance can see that, so they can already tell the type of storyboard it belongs to. This needs to be something that I do when I am making my own opening titles. The use of a solid black background with a few lights makes the titles stand out more prominently, which is helped by the use of bold font. Bold font is used because it is meant to be bleak and to the point, as hospital scenes suffer the same effects. Since in my head I have decided to link mine with a medical problem my clip needs to be linked with titles the same as this, I might also consider underlining my titles so they stand out more. The use of doing this is useful to me as it means I can understand how to follow the same path to the opening titles as this.

The rest of these are how the opening titles are presented, left to right in the order they are shown. The top is the beginning, which complies with the same style as the way the name of the series is presented. The H is made the most important part of the title, as it links the main character to the plot of the series, so it is in a bigger font at the beginning. I might consider doing this for my opening clip when I start to create. The use of backgrounds differ as the opening credits move along, this is to represent what the background is trying to show for each medical problem. Eg. the use of editing in the fourth one down is red with lighting to show a vein, which represents blood. For my opening titles, I could use this to represent each symptom that schizophrenia includes in my background, with the tiles over it.
The titles are over the action, and the text size is smaller to show that this is less important than the title name, which needs to stand out more. After the second clip, which includes Hugh Laurie in the background to show that he is the main character, it includes the actors names. The first clip is to make it seem like he is looking at a scan, which is blurred slightly around him. The names of actors going first in this order is something that I am going to do, the main character first.
The last clip includes the name of the creator, which is above another form of the anatomy, still following the plot of the clip. This is effective as the audiance would like to see the name of the creator, as the audiance is of a higher age. I think for mine it has to be the same, as younger children would not have the patience for this type of series or the clip that I am about to create which is inspired by this. That is why it was useful for me to include this.

The use of sound is effective as it adds atmosphere to each episode, and this attracts the audiance in. The music is an effective clip which I am hoping to use in my opening two minutes, but the music is copyrighted so I will probably use some of the non copyright music that I found. I like the use of this music as it attracts the target audiance in, but since each episode starts with a medical case that cannot be solved it adds a negative atmosphere to each case, which intrigues the audiance to whether he will be able to solve each case. I want the audiance to feel with my clip confusion to where they are in the clip, and I want to be able to acclomplish this in the same style.

Monday 5 December 2011

Props to make plot understandable.

In order for the plot to make sense in my film, there needs to be a trigger for the mental illusion that makes the clip repeat itself. This trigger is what the whole plot of my opening two minute clip is based on, so it needs to be important and easily recognisable to make the audiance understand in my clip. To make sure this makes sense, I have included different triggers that may have taken place. The props and triggers I may use are:

Drugs

Drugs, illegal or mediacal, could be the trigger for why the illusion has taken place. The drugs I have included in this clip are vicodin, which is an addictive medical pain killer. This is the drug that is used in House, which is relatable to my work on my blog. I could make this work in my opening clip by including this as the mental trigger, but instead of using vicodin I could use the empty packet to show that the drugs have been taken, that is why my character would have had this illusion.

Alcohol

Alcohol is another idea that I can use to make this clip relatable, as it means the overdose of alcohol consumption could mean that the images that my character would have in the head are different compared to the actual idea. The problem is that the image that is mainly interpreted in the media for people under the influence of alcohol is the camera is blurred to show how they feel through their eyes, which means the use of editing would need to be considered. I think this is a good idea to use if it means I can present my use of editing on the computer, but this will only work as an idea that is relatable if my actor is able to act this in the right way.

Schizophrenia

This medical condition is the last idea that I think works with the plot of my clip, as according to this poster the symtoms include hallucinations and delusions. This could be incorporated into my idea in a way that is different to the ideas that other people would be thinking of, also it might be something that will be fun to experiment with in my opening clip. The other actor that I include in my clip could instead be a hallucination, and this way the interaction between two characters could be made more interesting than just a plain conversation. This can also be a twist which the audiance wouldn't expect, which is what appeals to me. This poster will be something I refer to if I decide this is definatly the reason why the delusion happens, although this is the idea that I find more intersting.

Film Plot Final

For my film plot I have decided what I am going to do.
It will first start with the main characters close up of their eyes closed whilst the music plays. The credits come up over the scene. As the music grows louder that is when the characters eyes open, where she looks around. The camera will zoom out so you can see her face, and continue to a mid shot of her surroundings. That is when the camera pans around to the door where the other character walks in and asks if shes all right, the scene is set as she is alone in the garden, its a cold day, could represent her emotions. This would be an over the shoulder shot. As she says she is ok the door shuts and you see the character breathing. Then she decides to walk out of the house. I can use different camera shots to follow her up the stairs, until she reaches the door, where I can use an extreme close up. As she walks out you get to see the character in a mid shot, looking back at the door. The other character continues with the conversation like normal whilst the main character is confused about her surroundings.
She walks down the road to the outside of the school, where it is empty and quiet. It will also be extremely dark, so this will add atmosphere to the clip. She keeps walking but the audiance get to see the objectivity of fear in the background, merging in with the dark. The objectivity of fear will be dressed all in black. Once the character sees this character she starts to pick up the pace, and the other follows her. She would then find that the person who she thought was a hallucination to be someone who lives nearby. She falls over at trying to run from someone who isnt scared. Emergency surgery cliche would then be taken into action as she gets a gash on her leg, which she would patch up in the bathroom where she hides. She would shout for the other character but there would be silence as there would be no reply. A close up goes towards her eyes. She closes them , then opens them to find herself back in the same situation she was in at the beginning, this time with either an empty alcohol bottle or empty packet for drugs in her hand, which would be in a close up so the audiance know she had a halluciantion. The scene would repeat itself exactly the same, the other character would be in the shot asking if she was ok, as the main characters back would be towards her. The exact same speech would be said, and the same feet camera shots would be played. The characters expression would be the only thing that would change, as the clip ends with her walking out the door and again, looking back at the door and walking off.

Use of Costumes in Action Films.

The use of this costume determines to the viewer that she is high powered, and has a lot of money. This is because of the way she is dressed, it is very proper and neat and shows glamour, compared to other characters in sherlock holmes. The use of costume is important for this woman as it shows that she is the cliched to show that she has been included in the clip for attractive purposes, and that women are only included to be attractive. The other cliche that makes this character a cliche is that she has been shown to use her sttractiveness as power, and therefore she is a character that the audiance tend to hate because she is against the main charatcer.

The use of costume that sherlock holmes wears is grubby and old, showing that he has less power than the woman. This makes the audiance feel more connected to this character as the film goes along because he is the one that the audiance follow in the film, and you tend to hate the woman because of the demeanor of her appearance. It is cliched that the attractive woman falls for the grubby man, which is what I think I should include in my opening clip, a split between high powered and low powered. The use of prop however makes him more powered, because the gun makes him look in charge, a cliche that men are interested in because he is the hero, and the hero needs to save the woman.

This is the cliched idea of the man who men want to be, enpowered. This is what I need to include in mine as action films don't include fancy gear in men, which is what happens for women. With men, it includes leather jackets and dark clothing, not paying much attention to it. The use of costume is just to appear more manly, so it is plain clothing and not over the top. The use of guns is the main prop that needs to be focused on as it what interests the male audiance the most, as they want to the person holding the gun themselves.

Whatever my action film includes it needs to be downgraded when it comes to costume, exept with women. Women are the only ones that are dressed in bright gear whereas men are meant to look as if they didnt pay much attention, and this is therfore more masculine, which is the point of an action film.

Genre Texts Powerpoint

This will help me when I am creating my own opening two minutes as it means I can now know which would work best for use of text, and for an action film I have found out that I should use a bold text, with no decoration around it. It needs to be plain and structured, with nothing else included.

Audiance Research Powerpoint

Examples of Camera shots I would use.

Extreme Close Up

The use of extreme close up is what I am planning to use at the beginning of the scene, along with opening credits. This is so you can see the characters emotions at the beginning, or I might make it so the lack of emotion draws the audiance in, this would be at the beginning with the music I have included. Until the music starts to grow more loud, the eyes would stay shut at the beginning, and in time with the music the eyes would open, and you would see lack of emotion. This is how I picture the beginning to start, as it is dramatic and can link with the audiance to an action cliche. This would also be linked with opening credits, which would be showing either over the scene or on a black screen. This would draw the audiance in to see what is happening in the plot.

Unlike the beginning, the use of music and the same camera shots is how I picture it ending as well, to reinforce the idea that the entire scene that has happened was a hallucination. This is how I want the beginning and the end to happen to the plot, as the shots would be copied, but the characters expression would be changed at the realisation.

Wide Shot

This is an example of the shot I want to use of someone running away, away from something that would happen in my plot. The thing they would be running away from isnt certan yet, but I like the idea that is about to follow. I think this would be best as it then means I am using a cliche of an action film to my work, and therefore including the ideas that other people have made into my opening two minutes. I think that this should be followed by shots in other angles to the side, following the character along the corridor, this way the audiance can feel as if they are with them on the chase scene. This would be the basic start of the run so the audiance can know which way they are running, and how they look to the person they are running away from.

Close Up

A close up of the feet whilst running will add dramatic effect to how the audiance feel in this situation, as they will feel scared and vulnerable being so low down. This close up is what I am considering using on the person who is chasing, this way the persons face remains unknown, again using another cliche of an action film, but also linking with my interest of horror. The use of mise-en-scene will be important in this clip as it means that I have to focus on the costume that the chaser wears, the shoes being the most important, depending on the character I want to create. I think this will work best for me though, as it means I can experiment with different levels.

Best Uncopyrighted Songs on Youtube. Top 10

These are the best non copyrighted songs on youtube, and I included them because it means that I can use them for my opening two minutes, the first song on this clip is one that works well with what I am trying to make, and has gotten me more exited to start putting together my clips. I think these are the best for action cliches, so I am happy I chose this as my genre. I think with my idea as someone who is mentally incapable this would work well with opening up with the scene of the eyes opening in an extreme close up. This would set the atmosphere for the films and I think it would be relative to the style that House and Snatch use in their clips. I like the idea of using this because of that, and I think this song would also work because its short, which means it wouldn't be hard to fit it in as it wouldn't drag for too long. The group for this uncopyrighted song is called Glitch Mob, which can help me when I need to include who created this song later.

This will help me when including songs for my opening clips, and this way it can be more dramatic for audiances to watch. It also fits in with my opening two minutes genre, and the audiance that would be watching if it was released.

Non Copyrighted Music

I found on youtube the type of music I would have to include if I created my opening two minutes and had to have music in the background. This would be non copyrighted music. The music I found was this to begin with, which is more dubstep. The reason why I would include this is because of the fact that the dubstep music is fast paced and loud, which would work with my use of a chase scene in a action clip that I would make. This is essential in knowing how the music is like, and for this particular piece of music it is slow then gradually moves up. If I included this into my opening two minutes it would have to be when there is a running chase scene, as the music pace works best.

I think this music works best for the action chase scenes, which is why I included it. It contains more than one song so it means I can experiment with different ways of using it and experiment with different songs to use. I will look at more songs so I can see if there is a better choice in the use of my opening two minutes.

House Hallucination Plot

For the plot of House it becomes that he is a vicodin addict, and because of this he suffers from hallucination that make him lost about the world around him. It starts with him seeing the dead ghost of a collegue who dies in a past season, amber, and he ends up seeing her as a hullucination from vicodin overdose, which he takes for his leg. The plot is an important one to me as I think it can become influencial to my opening two minutes, taking the idea that they use in order to make my own idea. This show is also a big influence to me as it involves the use of a prop as an understanding to how the entire plot makes sense, which is something that I could consider using in my opening two minutes. This is based in a hospital, which is busy and crowded, but another scene that becomes important to me is the episode where he gets taken hostage from a patient that can't get his medical problem treated, because no one can understand his diagnosis. This hostage idea is something that I have considered because it can be easily worked with my scenery that I have to work with. Considering my two actors are twins, I don't know whether to work with the idea that the hostage and the person holding hostage know each other and their is a giant argument, as an idea to start with.
